General Description: Each continent has at least two major mountain ranges. There are an abundance of fresh water bodies including lakes and rivers. Vegetation is abundant and there are a variety of animal species. There are a few volcanoes and periodic earthquakes. Desert areas are scarce. The polar caps are not inhabitable and are not considered continents.

Colosian Physical Description: Carbon-based, vertebrate, mammalian biped. The Colosians are a mono-gender species; their physiology includes both male and female reproduction organs. Their appearance is gender neutral.

Outer Growth: Cranial hair ranges in color from white to golden brown, other than eyebrows Colosians have only minimal facial or body hair.

Behavior: The Colosians are competitive in nature. As a race they are exceptionally honorable and are protective of their culture and environment. Because of their sense of justice and fairness, they are generally considered to be arbitrators for the region. They are intolerant of threats or deceitful behavior.

Special Attributes: Colosians have a heavy muscle density and appear to be lighter in weight than they actually are, due to Colos having a slightly higher gravity than found on most other homeworlds. This gives them a distinct physical advantage in atmospheres with lighter gravity. They are proportionately stronger, faster, and more agile in lighter gravities. If they stay in lighter gravity for extended periods of times they must adopt strict exercise programs to maintain their muscle tone.

Government: The planetary government of Colos is a republic. They have a bicameral congress. The head of the government is an elected President. The High Court of Justice supervises the judiciary system. They also have an extensive diplomatic corps.

Religions/Beliefs: The religions of Colos are distinct only in how religious services are observed. Centuries previous to this the leaders of the four main religious sects gathered and agreed that no matter the labels or preferred rituals of their beliefs, there was but one holy deity.

Society/Culture: The Colosian society has existed for millennia. It is rich in history and culture. They have great museums and libraries of history, art and science. The arts are supported by government and private institutions alike. They are religious, believing in a gentle God that guides and protects their spirits. The Colosians believe that behaving with honor, honors their God. Those that lie, cheat or practice other forms of deceit are ostracized from society and sent to rehabilitation centers; in the most severe instances they face banishment from Colos. Violent crime is virtually non-existent, but in the rare instances that they occur, the guilty face incarceration in either a prison or mental health facility. The family unit is close-knit. Marriage is known as choosing a lifemate and divorce is practically unheard of. They believe in keeping their private lives separate from their public lives and respect the privacy of others.
