General Description: The names of the oceans and continents are generalized descriptions of colour and location , the actual terrain is quite diverse. Cetus has no deserts or rainforests, this lack of extremes lends the impression that Cetus was designed. It has been speculated by offworlders that the Cetusians originated elsewhere and built the planet themselves.

Physical Description: Carbon-based, vertebrate, mammalian biped. The average
Cetusian is very 'solidly' built with good balance, strong muscles, and quick
reflexes.

Epidermis/Exoskeleton: Skin colour varies by region: 'Caucasian', 'Asian',
and 'Mediterranean' tones.
Appendages: 4 (two legs, two arms.)
Digits: 5 fingers/toes on each hand/foot (including opposable thumbs
on hands.).
Outer Growth: Cranial and some light fine body hair. Females have less
body hair than males. Males have some facial hair in the form of mustaches and
beards, but generally choose to remain clean shaven.
Visual Sensors: 2 eyes; colour of an individual's eyes changes in reaction
to stimuli (blue, green, grey, brown, black, and hazel varieties)
Aural Sensors: None.
Behaviour: The Cetusians are an incredibly industrious race. They can be quite patient, even in the most monotonous of situations. However, they are most at home where activity (especially physical) is required.
Special Attributes: Cetusian eyes change color, (see Visual Sensors). Cetusians have tremendous endurance and concentration. They can work many hours without rest. No natural vocal cords or aural sensors, however, implants allow them to communicate with other species. They do not need to form the words with their mouths and lips to speak, the implant being thought activated. The same is true of their aural implants, so they have no difficulty communicating with most races.
Government: The only forms of goverment on the planet are a small organization that sees to the providing of food, shelter, and other necessities for the infirmed who cannot work, and a Planetary Trade Commission who ensures that fair business is being practiced. All other branches of what would normally be the government are privatized (including the defense force.) This has proven to be effective in maintaining a stable and prosperous economy.
Religions/Beliefs: The Cetusians hold to no recognized/organized religious or spiritual beliefs. They believe in themselves and their abilities and feel they control their own destiny.
Society/Culture: Their society revolves around production. They believe that the most valuable person is someone who can make or do something, and they judge people by their abilities. The Cetusians are also one of the only cultures where the written language was developed before the spoken language (although a 'shorthand' sign language has also been in use for millenia.) Their 'standard' language is based upon iconography, numbers, and light signals, and is based to a certain degree in technological quantities. Cetusian households consist of a maternal and paternal couple, and typically includes 5-6 extended family members.
